Protect Your Mattress Topper

We Highly Recommend adding a protective cover to all latex foam mattress toppers. Foam toppers are magnets for dust and dirt, and tear easily. Natural Sense is a natural product and needs the protective layer to reduce air flow and slow the natural biodegradation caused by drying. Without a cover, biodegradation is accelerated. The covers are made of soft cotton, and have a deluxe satin finish. All covers have a zipper so that they can be easily removed and dry-cleaned. Please note that these cotton covers should be dry-cleaned only(except the Pre-Shrunk Organic Cotton Cover). We cannot accept returns on shrunken covers.

Choosing the right Lated Mattress Topper:

When selecting a latex mattress topper you should consider how much "cushioning" or "improvement" you want. Typically, most people prefer a 2.8" mattress topper as it produces the greatest increase in comfort. Thouch most stomach sleepers prefer the 1.8" latex mattress topper. Also, most people choose either our soft or medium toppers. The soft toppers feel like nice, soft foam toppers. The medium toppers are reported by many customers to offer the perfect balance of comfort and support.

It is very important to get a protective cover with natural latex mattress toppers. Our soft Organic Cotton fabric is very nice and thick (500 grams). It is a woven style called a double knit, which is two layers of fabric cross-knitted together. This thicker fabric does a much better job of reducing airflow and slowing biodegradation than our simple single layer "poly/cotton covers."

If you are inclined to purchase this cover you might also be interested in our Pre-Shrunk Organic Mattress Topper; the same organic cotton fabric is used but has been pre-washed and pre-shrunk before we sew it to your order size. This will prevent shrinkage later if you wash the cover.

Our basic "poly/cotton covers" are a blend of polyester and cotton, and have the thickness of a bed sheet. This is the minimum you should use to protect your foam from gathering dirt or tearing.
