Use one of our very comfortable organic wool mattress toppers to keep you warm in the winter and cool in the summer by wicking away perspiration. You and your skin breathe all night long. The wool is sourced through Wool Gatherers in California. They draw from many regions, focusing as much as possible on local areas of the Pacific Northwest, but also as far as New Zealand. The organic cotton is sourced from New Zealand through Texas.
If you have a memory foam bed (all of which are made from petrochemicals) or a traditional mattress (nearly all of which utilize petrochemical foam padding), then your lungs and skin are breathing in these chemicals all night long. Wool toppers provide a greatly improved layer of ventilation that helps insulate your lungs and skin against the possibly harmful off-gasses of memory foam and traditional mattresses.
Two Sizes: 2 inch thick, or 3 inch thick
Our Wool Toppers are made of soft, fluffy certified organic wool sewn between two layers of certified organic cotton. These are not 'solid' like a futon mattress, but are a fluffly wool pad that you sink into in comfort! The 2 inch topper has approximately 30 ounces of wool filling for every yard, while the 3 inch topper has about 60 ounces for each yard - that's twice as much as the 2 inch topper!
This Organic Wool Topper lays flat on your bed; if you would like to add elastic straps to the corners to help hold the topper in place please choose that option (for an additional $10.00); when ordering please include the thickness of your mattress so we can size the straps to fit properly.
Organic wool toppers are inherently dust mite resistant. You should air out your wool mattress topper, preferably once a week but at least once a month, by placing it outdoors in direct sunlight. Shake it out vigorously to help loosen the wool fibers and leave it outside all day. You will love the fresh feeling you get when sleeping on your freshly aired wool toppers.
Do not machine wash/dry. Spot clean any stains using a sponge with mild soap. Dry in direct sunlight.
Because of the intimate nature of these toppers they are not returnable after being used.
